Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We reviewed previous lessons from the book, and stopped at lesson 4 in the book that has to do with hobbies. We reviewed vocab and grammar from our last session."
"The student has a new textbook, so we covered the first chapter of that book. This chapter dealt with making personal introductions. He was focused on the material. We discussed some character memorization strategies involving the use of radicals. We reviewed most of his homework together, and I left him with a writing assignment to complete on his own. Overall a productive session."
"I assigned the student work to continue from the previous class, including to keep repeating the same words (numbers 1-10; colors (red, green, yellow, blue, white, orange, black); basic greetings (hello, how are you, I'm fine, goodbye, thank you, you are welcome); animals (tiger, dinosaur, panda, penguin, snake, monkey, dog, cat, zebra, etc.). We made a paper zebra and played games with it. He remembered the word zebra right away. We also covered objects and nouns (ball, baby, mom, dad, etc.) and body parts (hand, head, eyes, nose, ear, mouth). We sang a song that's about numbers, a song about colors, and another song about basic greetings and asking a person's name."
