"Today the student struggled a bit because we were going over a more in-depth look at French grammar as well as masculine and feminine. She understood most of it like the difference between 'c'est' and 'il est' as well as complex question words. When we got to the difference in the many ways of quel and adjective/noun agreement, she struggled. It's not an easy subject so I wasn't expecting her to grasp it quickly. She did grasp most of it however she will need time to study it. I'm sure when we see each other again she will have a better understanding since she will have had time to think it over."
"The student put his writing assignment on the board, and we went over it. Then I introduced the verb pouvoir in the present tense and asked him to copy the conjugation and memorize at home. This is the 10th of our target verbs. We did some drills using pouvoir in the present tense to make positive and negative statements and questions. I showed the student how to construct the passe anterior, using the imperfect form of the auxiliary verb plus the past participle."
"Tonight we did an overall review. This included a lengthy quiz covering all that we have learned to date. Both students did very well."
