Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I reviewed focus and directrix again, as it was one of the topics she had questions about when reviewing for her upcoming final. She was quick to pick up the basics of the topic after a quick refresher, and by the end of the session she was nailing any examples I gave her."
"During this tutoring session we started with implicit differentiation, and then moved through some examples pulled from word problems for applications of the differentiation rules and related rate problems. We also went over linear approximations before turning to review the first several sections of the material for the exam."
"We went over SOH, CAH, TOA, and coterminal and terminal angles. We also did some review for his final test that he will be having next week. He is doing very well although sometimes when he is rushing towards a solution he skips steps from time to time. Taking time to find the solution is key to success."
"Yesterday we focused on final review for the student's exam today. We did review problems focusing on everything that I had worked with him on this year. He was very prepared and didn't stumble on any concept or any type of problem. The student should be set up to do fantastically on his final exam!"
"Today we worked on a little of most of the topics that we have been working on lately. The main focus was on factoring, linear equations, and some graph identification work. We'll do a little more of this later to finish things up."
"The student had two review packets-one was on surveys and statistics and the other was her honors Algebra packet. We reviewed what she had for homework from the first packet and we finished reviewing her math packet. She was eager to finish so I worked with her a little extra."
