Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"His class caught up to what we had been going over, namely factoring quadratic equations. We reviewed factoring, using the quadratic equation, the graphs of quadratics, and getting quadratic equations into a standard form. He still has a lot of practice problems to work from last time as homework before our next session."
"The student and I worked on direct and inverse variation. In addition, we worked on exponential growth and decay equations. He seemed to have a good grasp on the concepts listed above. I stressed to the student that he had to know the decay formula for his test."
"The student has an exam coming up tomorrow, so we practiced multi-step inequalities and compound inequalities in preparation. The student was performing very well, so we also covered absolute value inequalities."
"We went through algebra and I explained how she can use sine law to solve the triangles. I also showed her how she can get 2 different triangles from one set of information. I asked her to solve several problems to make sure she can do them by herself. Then we went through chemistry. We covered redox reactions. I explained how she can find oxidizing agents and reducing agents. We solved several problems for this concept as well."
"Today we went over homework and began reviewing for the student's placement test. I will incorporate more comprehensive tests next week."
"The student completed her homework on multiplying polynomials. She was very comfortable with the concept."
