Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we continued going over her slides, with a little bit of review from last lecture's slides. We talked about the different types of transporters/channels in the membrane and what creates the cell's membrane potential. We then transitioned into the different functions of organelles and how they relate in protein synthesis. Next time, we will continue talking about organelle functions. She is a great student and seems to understand most of what's going on, but just needs a little clarification on a few things."
"In this session, we briefly reviewed test two before moving on to the current acid/base chemistry material. The pH concept was introduced as well as the reactions between acids and bases inclusive of equilibrium reactions and the formation of buffer solutions. He is doing extremely well and has a fantastic attitude."
"The student has a test on electrostatic forces and resistor circuits coming up, so we spent the lesson going over problems likely to be on her test. She has a good grasp of circuits, but wanted some help figuring out complex circuits. I showed her a way to redraw the circuit to make simplifying a bit more intuitive, and she picked up the strategy quickly. We worked through a few complex circuit problems together, and by the end she was able to find the current and voltage through each resistor on her own."
