Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"On Sunday, we concluded our study of both Greek culture and economics. We began some reading regarding the Roman empire. We also looked at the history of plays and theater."
"The student has a test to study for in his 7th grade History class for Mid-evil times. We studied about the decline of Feudalism. He was very focused and seemed prepared after our session."
"The student had some good news when I got there this past week - He got a 91% on his test essay which is his highest grade of the semester. He is benefitting from a more focused approach to his work than he had during 1st quarter and it's good to see that reflected in his grades. I took a look at the work he did on his study guide, we discussed the questions that were still blank, and corrected those that he was unsure on. Once both chapter 38 and 39 study guides were reviewed I had the student start with a blank copy to see what he was able to recall. As he answered I used colored pens to classify each question as good, fair, and poor in terms of how well he knew them. The hope was that this would help the student narrow in on what he really needed to review for the test the following morning. I heard back from the student this past weekend that he felt very good about the test and expects to get a decent grade. He also had an essay that I didn't have a chance to look at but I'm hoping that turns out well. The student has one more test for the semester and a good opportunity to get a B in the class."
