Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went through 3 chapters (Periodic Trends, Stoichiometry, and Chemical Bonding) of his review book. We worked through the problems at the end of the chapters for the first two chapters and plan on starting off our next session by finishing those questions from the final chapter."
"I helped the student study for this Q3 final. We reviewed equilibrium, Keq, Gibbs' free energy and the related enthalpy and entropy, laws of thermodynamics, and the effects of changing pressure, temperature, and volume in shifting equilibrium. We also reviewed partial pressure of gases, as related to an equilibrium concentration question. We then reviewed some acids and base chemistry and we did some practice problems together. He has a very open and receptive learning attitude, which is wonderful."
"The student and I worked on completing a worksheet from his science class about cladograms. The goal of this worksheet to compare the evolutionary lineage of T. Rex to that of present animals, and therefore to estimate what kind of animal T. Rex is most closely related to. He showed good critical thinking skills when asked to estimate the outcome of the worksheet."
