Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We began our session by going over her review memory work. We reviewed is, ea, id, and all of the active indicative verb forms, which she did well on. We also went over the 1st and 2nd person personal pronouns, and then I introduced the relative pronoun for memory work this week (qui, quae, quod). After that, she began on her homework that she had missed previously. She had a passage that we had to translate from English into Latin. The passage focused primarily on temporal clauses, and she did very well with this. She did not seem to be struggling at all. We finished our session by the student then turning to her translation homework from Cicero's First Catilinarian. We briefly went over the context of the passage, and then turned to the translation portion that she had for the week. She almost finished the entire assignment, which was remarkable. She did very well on her last quiz, which was encouraging for me! Overall, she has been doing well recently."
"I helped the student study his study packet, which included a number of reading comprehension questions from the story about Trimalchio's dinner party. He did very well."
"In preparation for the student's test tomorrow on adverbs, we reviewed the positive, comparative, and superlative adjective forms for 1st, 2nd, 3rd dec. adverbs, and irregulars. We also reviewed adjective forms in preparation for her test next week. A lot of progress was made, and hopefully the test goes well!"
