Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"At the beginning of today's session, we looked over the homework for the week. She has somewhat more than usual, since she has a project due in Religion and four separate assignments for History. As usual, I made her a suggested homework plan laying out which assignments should be done when. It is especially important that she follow the homework plan this week, because if she falls behind on the History, it will be very difficult to catch up before the test a week from Tuesday. I asked her whether she had done her History homework last week, and she said she had not. In order to help her get out of the bad habit of avoiding History homework, therefore, I asked her to do one of last week's assignments during the session. We did the reading and talked about sections of it that she didn't understand, and before I left, she started the written assignment. Ideally, she should be fully caught up on her History assignments before she goes to bed tonight. She also needs to catch up on Biology, since she had missed four assignments early on that slipped under the radar because they were emailed rather than assigned in class. They shouldn't take her very long."
"We first looked at a very good written project that he did, and then we discussed the Protestant Reformation."
"We studied some of the early civilizations of Mesopotamia, began to study the Pueblo people, and worked on economic concepts."
