Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"In this session the student focused primarily on his math homework and also studied for social studies and reviewed reading comprehension. I always have him read the math problems to add additional practice in reading comprehension as well. He is able to do the problems when we work together. I think it is important to review older concepts in future sessions and will continue to do these "check-ins" with him. We also reviewed for his social studies test and he did well with the reading comprehension portion."
"We covered schoolwork, including basic coordinate geometry and reflections. The student learned how to set up X and Y axes, plot points and lines, and find lines of reflection."
"I reviewed the student's math homework, which involved long division and multiplication, in addition to addition and subtraction."
"We did some problems covering series. We specifically went over strategies to find the equation for the nth term given the first few terms in a series. We also reviewed some old physics in preparation for an upcoming physics exam."
"The student and I continued working on solving word problems that involve unit conversions in customary and metric units. He still gets confused on converting the units, so he will need more practice figuring out the conversion and applying it."
"We reviewed for his test again. I provided two algebra exams that were multiple choice. We chose to have multiple choice because that is the format that his test will be in. The student knew most of the material and we went over the problems he had trouble with."
