Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"I made the student his own sight words and word wall for him to take to school and use for his writing. We reviewed all the words on the folder. We then worked on the computer with a sight word concentration game. Then we read from a comic book. The student really enjoyed this!"
"The student worked on copying the letter J and improving his handwriting skills. He had a passage that he had to read and answer questions about. He also had an activity where he had a list of high frequency words and he had to fill in the blanks to sentences with the correct high frequency word. He also had words like judge, lodge, and edge, where he had to realize that the "dge" combination made a j sound. He did well on these exercises."
"Seeing as the student's reading skills have improved quite a bit, we are focusing our sessions more on comprehension activities now. Today I had her choose from some activities I had brought with me. All of them focused on working on new vocabulary exposing her to a little bit higher level of reading."
