"We went over how to write sorting methods. We went over a few AP problems, too. We covered selection, insertion, and quicksort."
"We went over the AP CS diagnostic exam. The student struggled with a few questions but got most right and was quick to catch her mistakes when she made them."
"We went through a variety of multiple choice questions that focused on different topics for AP Computer Science. We covered topics like selection sort, inheritance, and recursion. We ended by doing an open- ended question from the student's prep book. The student seems to have an understanding of the concepts we went over. It's just a matter of understanding the small nuances of those concepts. For example, on the open ended question, she had a good idea of how to approach the question initially with regard to 2D arrays, but left out small details that would have lost her a few points on the exam. In that regard, I suggested comparing the code she wrote on the written part to the example that is shown on the open-ended question. It is a good indicator of whether or not her code is correct."
