Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I reviewed a range of topics for an upcoming unit test in physics. She displayed excellent understanding of the material through most of the lesson."
"During our last session, we reviewed various physics and chemistry topics. We also did kinematics problems, a fairly advanced topic for an eighth-grade student."
"Today we talked more about lenses and how to solve using the equations 1/i + 1/0 = 1/f and m = -i /o = hi / ho. We then started to cover interference."
"We worked on kinematics problems in 2-D using the range equation and basic trig to decompose vectors. She has a test on this in the next week, so we went through her homework and looked at review questions that were given to her to study. I plan on sending her problems from the Physics classroom website. Sometimes she struggles with understanding the question, so I advise that she write down all the variables that she is given, and use that to determine which equations to use. I also think it would help to understand the physical significance of some of the equations she's using, because it will inform her problem solving."
"During this session, forces, free body diagrams, net forces, and equilibrium were reviewed and discussed by going over review questions online."
"We reviewed all the concepts from HW1 to HW4, which includes 2D motion, force and Newton's second law, for the student's first exam."
