Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered electrochemistry, light energy, and isoelectronic series. The student is a very bright student so she is always happy and excited to get down to business. She has a test tomorrow so she wanted to cover a little of everything. What she struggled with the most was light energy but that was just a unit problem. We took care of that and she seemed very confident after our session."
"Today, we did a review session for electro-statics and magnetism, because the student missed some of her classes. I gave a quick lecture on the relations of the electrostatic force, electric field, electric potential and the electric potential energy. Then I moved into the magnetic force and the magnetic field. Lastly I went over the velocity selector equation. After lecturing, we had a half hour to go over problems from her homework. If she needs any further help, I told her that she can email me and I would be glad to help her."
"We went over the student's midterm, which she wasn't entirely satisfied with. I think she did phenomenally well, given the circumstances, and many of the questions were worded vaguely, so in several cases, her answers made sense given one interpretation of the question but were marked off because they weren't what her professor was looking for. We also discussed her semester-long project, which is now in its second stage. She has made amazing progress in her understanding of cell signaling cascades, and it shows in her writing for this project so far. We will continue to work together on her reports."
