Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over relative strengths of acids and bases and how to determine that from just the chemical composition. We also discussed trends in terms of the relationship between acids and bases. Also, we discussed acids and bases in terms of equilibrium and how to determine a pH if an acid or a base is added to a solution of an acid or a base. Overall it went well and I am looking forward to our next session!"
"Bacterial Structure, Classification and nomenclature according to shape, type of growth and stain. Capside, plasma membrane, bacterial cytoplasmic structure, pylli, flagellae, bacterial DNA. Rode shape bacteria, spherical shape bacteria, twisted shape bacteria. Obligatory aerobics and anaerobic bacteria, resistance and normal flora functions. Viruses Structure, nomenclature and families. Lysogenic Cycle, Provirus and Lytic Cycle. Excellent attitude toward the material. Same strategies and guides employed in previous sessions. No need for extra practice since the student is preparing an special assignment for this coming Monday. No concerns about this session."
"In this session we covered more rotational forces, especially inertia, angular momentum, and torque. The student has been reviewing these topics in class and we approached the topics with a specific aim of studying for the AP Physics C exam. I brought a couple worksheets I made with past AP exam questions and topics. We specifically reviewed many of the common systems that will be presented on the AP exam. She showed a very complete understanding of the ideas and we will continue reviewing and learning new topics in preparation for her test in May."
