Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I studied for a test he has tomorrow involving open-ended economic questions. We also began to study for his AP economics final which is next week. We do plan to meet sometime early next week to go over certain concepts."
"Today we focused on the differences between oligopolies, monopolies and monopolistic competition. The student's test is coming up so it was important to get this information down so she could move on to review. It seemed like she picked this concept up more quickly than others. Review of the ATC and marginal cost curve was needed."
"The student and I went over his final economics project. The focus of the project was mostly macroeconomics: unemployment, GDP, reserve requirements, and interest rates."
"Today's session involved discussion on "how" to enter the course materials, timing of meetings, and the expectations of the tutoring delivery. The student has used this concept before and was very familiar with the tools and resources."
"We covered descriptive statistics, measures of variability, probability, and the use of Z-scores. We went through some examples and visuals to emphasize the points. Other topics we discussed were Markowitz portfolio theory, the variance/covariance of assets in a portfolio, and simple linear regression. The purpose of today's session was to clarify and reinforce her understanding of the material. By the end of the session, she had a better understanding."
"We covered partial contract recognition and percentage of completion. We are meeting again tomorrow."
