Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"I have been working with the student mainly on syntax, especially on how it is affected by double verbs. It is hard for the student to understand what an infinitive actually used, and what it is used for. However, he is starting to get it a little better and we will continue to work on this skill."
"Reviewed what his online course has for him, and also went over the alphabet as well as new verbs. Next time I will quiz him on the pronunciation of the alphabet as well as the verbs and nouns. Next lesson try to form some basic sentences."
"Within our conversation, we spoke on topics such as child care, education, school districts, housing, and real estate. We also talked about the likes and preferences of our children. From a grammatical point of view, we paid attention to word order, position and tense of the verb, and case endings. These are grammar points we need to consolidate further in the coming sessions."
"The student and I prepared for her presentation on an artist or artistic movement from the Spanish-speaking world. She chose street art in Madrid, and together we prepared a PowerPoint presentation, choosing two artists to focus on and including photographs of their work."
"We went over her 3-minute Japanese speech today, and made some last-minute corrections. We also tried saying the speech and finding the breathing patterns in the speech. Her speech is very well thought out and I think she will do really well. She just needs to memorize her speech before her presentation tomorrow."
"Today we covered nouns and pronunciation. We went over some of his past work on verbs, so I am confident he is improving. We covered the very basics of vowel usage including sinalefa. I also covered the very basics of masculine and feminine words but will continue on this next time."
