Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered the present tense. We worked with remembering verbs and pronunciation. I asked her to study the different rules of present tense conjugation in French and gave her some homework. It went well overall."
"The student did well today, and I am starting to see some slight improvements in both pronunciation and accuracy of verbs when conjugating. He did very well with the conjugation of reflexive verbs today and was also very good with his pronunciation of various words. I think that he will really start to respond well to our regular sessions."
"The student and I reviewed information pertinent to his county test. We discussed his progress ahead of the exam, and I asked him to complete exercises that I had previously given him. Based on our last session, I will be sending him a few more exercises before we next meet. We will continue working with sentence structure and spelling. I am hoping that practicing creating sentences with a guided structure will help him identify the parts of the sentence and how to properly deploy them."
"We colored an animal picture and learned the names of some animals. We also learned the word for "zoo." We talked about the foods that different animals eat, to review what we did in the last lesson, and we learned some new vocab: outdoor words (trees, sand, beach, forest). At the end of the lesson, we read from the student's ballet book."
"We worked on French yesterday. We did as much of it as we could together. I think she will do well on her final!!"
"Today the tutor and the student worked together to polish his already good understanding of er verb conjugations, and to help him with his various question forms. The tutor also introduced him to how possession is shown, "i.e., "tes", "ses","ma","mon", etc.. The tutor showed him the patterns for conjugating regular re verbs, which he seemed to understand well. Lastly, the tutor briefly showed him how he could construct a future-like sentence using the verb aller, "Je vais prendre le dejuner". More reinforcement will be needed for each of these concepts, but the student is understanding the ideas presented to him very well. He should also review his present tense conjugation of aller so that it is more automatic."
