"The student and I went over her practice test for monetary policy. We covered topics like inflation and deflation, the Federal Reserve's Open Market Operations, and nominal vs real interest rates. The student did well, missing fewer than five questions out of the 37 on the test. We then went over in detail the topic she had most trouble with (inflation/deflation of savings) until she felt confident with it. I think she has done a good amount of studying and so should be prepared for the next test."
"The student and I covered topics of monopolies and oligopolies. We went over specifically the differences between marginal revenue, marginal cost, average cost, and demand curves. We explored how to draw these graphs and find the optimal bundle. We also compared how these optimal bundles vary based on the type of market. The student seems strong with most of the subject material but we need to do some more practice on breaking down what the question is asking and how to set up relevant equations and answers."
"We did some additional test review in preparation for the student's test tomorrow. We reviewed shifters for supply and demand, inflationary and recessionary gaps, money supply and demand and the money multiplier. She seems to have an excellent grasp on the material, and she should do very well on her test tomorrow."
