Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I primarily went through probability problems. For the most part he understood the material. There were some questions we had to work through regarding conditional probability, however we were able to get through those. He and I plan to meet a couple more times leading up to his final examinations."
"Today we reviewed concepts likely to be on the student's final exam. These included rates, limits, and volumes."
"The student and I continued working on his final data analysis assignment tonight. We started by creating a dataset from the correlation matrix of the raw data he is using for the assignment. Then we created syntax to run a path model using regression matrix data. We spent the rest of the session making tables and figures from the analysis output and building the student's presentation. The student will continue to work on the tables, figures, and presentation over the weekend and we will meet again on Monday to finish the assignment."
"We reviewed for her upcoming test. We went over the same concepts which we had reviewed in previous sessions, mostly including log rules. The student was able to do most of the review assignment entirely on her own with only a few minor questions and sign errors in solutions. She seems very prepared for the test."
"We worked and discussed 23 multiple choice questions from a previous AP Calculus exam. I explained everything she did not understand and we went over all of the work. I am emailing her the questions and solutions so she can study them. I encouraged her to consider twice a week sessions because there is only two weeks before the AP exam. She is very conscientious and a great student."
"We covered exponential rules. I showed him that the rules were the same as they were when we worked with exponent manipulation. I taught him to write out all the steps in detail so that he can remain careful with his work. I told the student to re-do the problems with different numbers in order to practice the rules."
