Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We reviewed family vocabulary, verbs and verb conjugation. This was our last tutoring session for the semester. The student is doing well in her Spanish class."
"We reviewed spelling words, a writing assignment on present verbs, and the student's daily five-sentences homework."
"We started our tutoring sessions by reviewing basic Spanish vocabulary and grammar (numbers, hobbies, geography, adjectives, nouns for the classroom, verbs, nationality and origin, professions, family and relationships, adjectives for personality, and verbs for interests). We covered Chapter 1 and part of Chapter 2 of the Spanish program. We studied the present tense of the verbs "ser" and "llamarse;" the gender and number among articles and nouns; the alphabet and pronunciation; the subject pronouns; the demonstrative adjectives and pronouns; the use of adjectives; "ser" + adjectives; adverbs of quantity; the present tense of -ar, -er, and -ir verbs; possessive adjectives; and the report of age, marital status, profession, nationality and place of origin. We read an article entitled "Los hispanos: primera minoria de Estados Unidos" and answered reading comprehension questions. We listened to Spanish radio and music. I assigned homework for next class."
