Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"During this session we went over buffers solutions and polyprotic acids and did a couple of problems I finding the ph. We also looked at precalc which was conic polar equations. Over this session went well."
"Today the student and I spent more time going over weather patterns, dew point, wetbulb, dry bulb, air masses, weather fronts, hurricanes, characteristics of hurricanes, trends of dew point temperature, and weather patterns in the United States. At the start of the session he was answering questions on a very basic scale just saying this affected that or this cause that, but when I asked him for more science his answer he was able to pinpoint the correct answer with the correct science terms and principles. He is starting to better understand the earth science material and with some more studying I feel that he will be successful on his next exam which is in about two weeks. The way I asked him to answer the question I think will guide his study habits and will help him I think more scientifically about the coursework."
"At today's session, the student and I went over acid-base chemistry. We worked through some titration problems she had to complete for class. We also briefly discussed ionization energy, and electronegativity, and the period trends that these two properties take throughout the periodic table. Finally, we discussed enthalpy, entropy, and energies of chemical reactions and how they proceed throughout reactions."
