Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The first half of today's session was spent reviewing two high-difficulty logic games, one sequencing game, and one in-out grouping game. The remainder of our session was spent on timed logical reasoning practice, with a focus on flawed reasoning and 'resolve the paradox' questions."
"We discussed some flaw questions from the logical reasoning section of the test that the student had worked on. As part of this discussion we talked about using a sharp pencil to make some notes, including emphasis on marking conclusions and summarizing evidence while noting formal logic. The student exhibited a good understanding of this basic strategy and the need to practice it in a realistic way similar to the actual test day. We then went over basic strategy on logic games, including good shorthand ways to note rules. We also talked about ways to eliminate wrong answers as well as looking for right answers. Overall this was a solid session."
"We went through assumption and justify strategies and worked through a bunch of practice problems. For next time the student is going to finish the grouping problem set and send along any problems that she has trouble with on the practice tests."
