Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We reviewed the topics from the last session. We went over end of chapter problems to prepare for her chapter two exam. I clarified any concepts that were still unclear or challenging."
"The student and I worked on stoichiometry/balancing, limiting reagents, oxidation reduction, and acid/base. Overall I think she's doing very well and is prepared for her exam on Wednesday."
"We went over old exam, in preparation for upcoming re-take. States of matter, physical vs chemical properties, sig figs, etc."
"We covered chapters 12, 13, and 22. Chapters 12 and 13 dealt with triple point phase diagrams, heat of vaporization and fusion, specific heat, and phase changes. Chapter 22 dealt with naming organic chemistry compounds. We completed the online homework for chapter 12, 13, and 22. We reviewed the in chapter problems for review. The student will work on practice problems in preparation for her midterm next week."
"We went over her quiz in algebra that involved geometric and arithmetic sequences. Overall, the student seems to have a better understanding of the concept. We then moved onto chemistry. She had a worksheet which went over Boyle's law. I did a quick lesson on Boyle's law, and, after an example, she was able to do the entire worksheet on her own."
"The student had a review sheet for his Chemistry test. It included everything about stoichiometry from molar ratios to limiting reactants to percent yield. He completed all the problems on the review sheet with good accuracy. We will meet again on Thursday at 6:30."
