"We went over her essay for her US History class. We reworked an outline for her that better aligned to the question. We created 5 reasons for why the colonists should break away from the British, a thesis statement, an outline of each of the reasons, and a conclusion."
"The student and I reviewed the legacies of Reconstruction this week, before moving on to the US expansion westward in the mid-1800s. We worked to dispel myths about the West; that it was a desolate wasteland waiting for development; that it was a lawless area beyond government intervention. Next week, we will continue with the West and talk more specifically about the eventual development that did occur there."
"Today, we reviewed US History and Biology to prepare the student for the upcoming week. I quizzed him on details and had him read the sections to me, to also practice his English as well as to remind him of the concepts."
