"The student did better on her geometry test, but she still has room for improvement. We went over her test and I found that she knows the material. After we finished going over her exam we worked on her homework, which dealt with triangle geometry."
"-Today we covered more on Coordinate Geometry, specifically Slope, Midpoint, and Distance. -Some algebra, distributing the slope to X and X1 (in the point-slope formula), working with fractions, etc. -He seemed enthusiastic since he wanted to work on r"
"We started by working a little on her visual essay for language arts. We then moved onto geometry. She has a test tomorrow and needed to make a flashcard summarizing the different topics that she could use on her exam. The first part of the chapter was finding the area of various shapes using different formulas. The next part involved finding the area of irregular shapes by counting the squares of the grid the irregular shape was placed on. The last part was finding the probability of something happening given the number of times tried and how often the event occurred. We also went back through her review packet and reworked the problems she missed. The student thoroughly understands the material that will be on her exam. The mistakes she makes are usually from jumping into the problem a little too fast and skipping steps so she misses a simple calculation."
"The student and I worked on a few new homework problems utilizing two new theorems developed by famous mathematicians which allowed for the calculation of areas of 3 and 4 sided figures. The understanding of other basic rules and theorems was required in able to able to set problems up and solve them, and his reasoning and logic was very good. We worked long and hard on the last problem of the day. At the end, we figured out two different solutions to the same problem."
"The student's homework this week involved similar concepts, but the problems this week were particularly complex based on how many different topics they drew on. She managed to work through a little over half of her homework while I was there, completing problems about how parallel lines, similar triangles, and ratios are related to each other. We also briefly looked at her assignment for an in-class history essay, setting up a plan for her to organize her studying."
"We went through a review homework assignment which consisted of various problems involving points, lines, planes, triangles, quadrilaterals, and circles. It had a variety of formulas and theorems that were applied, in order to solve for missing information such as area, distances, etc."
