"We cover oral practice, pronunciation and vocabulary. The student is a travel student so no grades for him. He will have to practice his vocabulary cards and 2 dialogues "presentations" " at the restaurant". We also did numbers. We will need to finish off travel schedules and accommodation."
"The student and I started out with reviewing last week's work. Since this was our second time meeting, I feel like I have a little bit better understanding of where he stands as far as learning and knowing vocabulary, pronunciation, and understanding the grammar. We tried a few different exercises today that I think helped him understand more of the Spanish language. I've set up our sessions to where it will be 60-80 minutes of hard reviewing and teaching to the book's lessons, then 10-30 minutes of "fun:" where we play Mad Minute, watch Spanish YouTube music videos, etc. He also responded well to the game with the basketball. When I first got there, I wanted to review the basics we went over last week- date, time, weather, numbers, etc. I saw a basketball on the floor and we threw the ball while repeating numbers 1-30. I want to repeat this next week, going up to 100. His pronunciation is improving dramatically. We made flashcards of Ch. 5 vocabulary words and reviewed them, and I left him with the homework of finding one music video for next week in Spanish, and making flashcards of Ch 1-5."
"The student worked on creating a speech with at least 10 sentences about an archeologist expedition using passive voice and subjunctive."
