Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I continued our exam review and began reviewing the accelerated math I guide in order to give him an advantage in the coming school year."
"The student continued work on converting fractions to decimals. He also practiced reading comprehension and answered questions covering author's intent and inference."
"Went over linear equations, rates, and ratios. The student had some trouble multiplying multiple digit numbers. That is something we will spend extra time on."
"The student and I did two-digit-divisor long division. We also covered fractions and proportions. She seems to be getting the material."
"During this session, we covered the student's homework, covering counting money of different denominations (e.g., coins and one dollar amounts). In completing this homework, we reviewed double-digit addition problems. We also discussed past and present tense of the verb "to be" and author's intent in relation to his English homework. I was certainly impressed with his improvement in math, specifically his understanding of number value and counting by multiples."
"We reviewed the student's Math homework with no problem. She did a great job estimating mixed numbers into whole numbers. After we finished, we worked on a reading comprehension passage that we found online. She and I read aloud together and marked up important parts of the reading passage. She then completed reading comprehension questions. She was able to answer most questions completely without help."
