Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We began today with a review of comparative advantage by practicing an FRQ from the a past exam. The student would have had a great score - 6/7 - other than a slight mix up in wording that had nothing to do with understanding the material, so she now understands comparative advantage well. We then turned to supply and demand. We went over an intense review of factors that might cause an increase/decrease in supply or demand, and also focused on the specifics of a change in quantity versus a shift. Finally, we wrapped up by beginning work on inflation through exploration of the CPI and GDP deflator."
"Today we went over the production planning process, and the chapter on finance (investment appraisal, ratio analysis, etc.). The student seemed very confident in our review and feels more prepared for the test now."
"I had an excellent session with the student today. We worked on production possibility frontiers, flow charts of an economy, and GDP. I challenged her to go work on practice questions and to use some online tools to practice until our next meeting."
