Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student received an A on his last test! Today we went over homework problems regarding none e base derivatives and integrals. We went over Riemann sums and worked on practice problems. The focus of today was mainly homework. The student is positive and has a great attitude. He also knows his unit circle extremely well."
"We worked on the conservation of energy and the relationship between work and force. I suggested the student flash cards to try and memorize the relationships. She took a quiz covering this material last week."
"The student did a great job working through homework corrections. He is getting better at being more independent with his work. We focused on natural logarithms and also reviewed his most recent chapter for his upcoming test."
"The student and I prepped for his exam tomorrow. We covered inverse and direct functions, inequalities, and solving rational equations."
"The student was studying for his test. He worked problems to find the volume of a pyramid and a prism. Then he worked problems finding volume of a cylinder and cone. He did a good job. He made a few mistakes with his formulas, but he learned from his mistakes and did better."
"This was my first session with the student. Since she has a test coming up on Thursday we focused on math. She is currently working on the introductory steps toward expressions and equations: variables and number relationships (through extending tables). She is also working on dividing decimals, and she needed help interpreting word problems into numbers and vice versa. We worked on buzz words that signal certain operations and identifying relationships between sets of numbers. She also practiced dividing two decimal numbers. We will continue to work in these areas more in our sessions going forward. She seemed more confident regarding the material when I left, and I look forward to working with her again."
