"We continued from the previous class and worked on numbers 1-6, all colors, basic greetings, animals, objects, and body parts. We listened to a video about colors. We sang a song that's about basic greetings. We drew Chinese characters from one to five."
"We reviewed the shapes and daily events like eating breakfast, going to school, using the restroom, and eating lunch/dinner. Then they were introduced to putting a series of daily events in time order by using "first" "and then" "finally." We also started asking questions with the question sentence structure "what" "who" "how to" "why" "what time is it" "how many" "how much.""
"Today, the student and I did the dictations of longer phrases. She was able to write down most of them and knew the meaning of each individual character. In the future, I would like to expand upon this and teach her how to compose and understand compound phrases. Today's new vocab words were: wind, sand, sandstorm, seed, tomorrow, play, and foot. Today's homework is to practice this new vocab and write 3 more new compound phrases."
