Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Student's practice ACT yielded a composite score of 29; however, his reading and science scores suffered a bit during our hiatus (the composite was brought up by excellent English and math scores). His biggest struggle on those last two sections was the time limit. We will continue to work on pacing in our future sessions."
"I encouraged the student to try the test correction card method on some ACT practice tests. That is, we compile index cards with the missed problems on one side, and complete step-by-step explanations on the back. These cards are to be reviewed in sets of two and three, many times a day, leading up to the test. This will help her to retain the skills necessary to solve these problems a bit longer. Student also makes simple mistakes due to handwriting. She will make an effort to be neater."
"Worked with the student on opposing scientists passages, reading distractions, and coordinate geometry. We also reviewed two English passages. She is performing very well."
