"We briefly discussed the notes on logical fallacies that I emailed to her yesterday. I asked that she worked on an logical reasoning section today to apply these notes when possible. Today, we primarily worked on diagramming games-- specifically balanced linear games. We diagrammed several games and worked through the questions in one of them. She seems more comfortable with them today than she was previously. I asked that she answer the questions on a couple of the games that we diagrammed. We will review these and go on to work on diagramming different game types."
"The student did a great job on his last practice test. The strategy of focusing on 3 reading comprehension sections paid off. Games also turned out very well, with only 2 questions incorrect (and those due to lack of time). Focus was primarily on fine-tuning reading comprehension, specifically on problems that are more difficult to tie directly to the passage. We then turned to the more difficult logical reasoning problems which we have until now forgone to work on the easier questions. I tried to emphasize how a boring answer with moderate support is better than an exciting/interesting answer with no support."
"We covered overall approaches to logical reasoning and reading comp sections. I also gave the student general advice about last minute preparation and test day."
