Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"This session we worked on English to Latin composition. The student was struggling to break down the grammatical constructions/clauses in the English, so we decided to start with English sentence diagramming (to understand the grammar) before moving to Latin composition (where grammar dictates case endings of words, etc.). This seemed to help."
"We used the session to review and strengthen the student's understanding of the noun/adjective declension relationship, using the noun chart as a tool for finding the correct endings to match case, number, and gender. He seemed to really get the process pretty well by the end, which was great!"
"Today the student and I spent time in chapter 1 of the Latin for children book series. We talked about the meaning of pronouns and spent time translating them back and fourth between Latin to English and English to Latin. The student's attitude is positive. He seems to want to learn and enjoys it. Impressively, he mastered the vocab from chapter 1 in one week."
