"The student and I worked on a group project he has on the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s and, in particular, James Meredith and integration at the University of Mississippi. We also worked on an assignment that went with reading on the same topic."
"This was a good meeting - the student and I hadn't met for approximately two weeks. But this week we covered the New Deal programs by FDR including the long list of Alphabet Soup terms, and the dynamics of the Supreme Court's connection with New Deal programs. Our last topic was the analysis of whether the New Deal was successful or not, and how America's Great Depression compared to that of Germany and Italy (change in governments)."
"This week, the student and I covered the reconstruction era, covering economics, race relations and the political implications of readmitting formerly seceded states to the Union. We focused heavily on the different perspectives that each population had. His questions reflected a thorough understanding for the complexity of the topic."
