"The student and I covered rotational motion. His main struggle seems to be realizing centripetal force is not a real force, and I was afraid that might be an issue on an exam. Hopefully after enough going over the problems and explanations of the concepts that won't be an issue. Overall the session went well, he was answering a lot of questions, and we worked through the majority of his homework together."
"The student was mostly done with his homework when I came over. We briefly discussed his reading log. I spent the rest of my time with student 2, who was finishing up his science fair project. We didn't realize it was due tomorrow! His project consists of building towers out of Legos of different heights, and then testing how height affects the likelihood the tower will fall down when shaken. We successfully assembled a shake board, and then he spent the rest of the time building a tower. He worked a little bit slowly because he was having fun with the Legos, but it was pretty easy to help him focus again."
"We continued with classification of plants and detailed lesson on plant physiology and reproduction and propagation. After the session on mitosis and meiosis, she could easily understand plant reproduction clearly."
