"The student and I worked on diagramming logic games. We worked on a basic (1 line) and an advanced (2 line) logic game today. I have asked her to work on a couple of games of practice. I will email her the answer key and my diagram of the same games. She seems to be picking up the techniques and finds the session helpful."
"Today we went over the practice games the student worked on since our last session. Her scores are very high, but her times need to come down. Every once in a while she comes across a game she thinks she can't do, but when we go over it, after diagramming whatever is possible, and simply starting the questions, the rest of the game takes shape. At this point, according to her scores and times, she ought to be able to finish 3 games at near 100% accuracy. We also reviewed my strategy for tackling reading comprehension (keywords, pre-skimming questions, reading for author's purpose and theme) while doing a practice RC question. She has 10 new practice logic games to do, and a total of over 20 to repeat for speed. I also gave her access to practically every practice test since 1994."
"The student completed some practice logic game sections. She is very accurate when completing logic games, but would like to increase her speed. I gave some particular points of advice on increasing speed. Then we worked through one of the games that she had completed, working on improving the thoroughness of the diagram. Then we worked through a variety of other games--some of them timing the setup and each question, and some of them only completing the setups."
