Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I prepared for her test. We covered some difficult concepts in geometry. Her test review included specialized problems that had her solve for different side lengths, angles and perimeters. All of the concepts that she has learned regarding triangles were combined."
"We discussed the student's test and he thinks he did pretty well. We mainly did Chapter 7.1 and 7.2 covering chords of circles and arc lengths of circles. He seemed to grasp the concepts okay. We scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday at 4pm next week."
"The student and I went over some concepts she had trouble with on her last test, such as angle measures for a specific diagram and some isosceles. We looked at new material dealing with bisectors, altitudes and medians."
"The student worked on her take home quiz. Topics discussed were congruent triangles and proofs. She knows her material. I emphasized to her the importance of taking good notes and organizing her work. We will focus on her organization/study skills the next session."
"We worked on her test corrections from her test last week. She also finished her HW for that night."
"For this session, the student didn't have a lot of physics to work on because they just did a really short assignment on periodic motion. There were a couple practice problems that involved solving for period, frequency, and amplitude. After physics we moved onto geometry. First, she finished her notes packet from class today where she worked through some proofs that involved the triangle proportionality theorem and the triangle midsegment theorem. After finishing the packet, she worked on her homework, which involved more practice problems on the same theorems. She didn't have any trouble solving any of the problems after we worked through the proofs. She does a really good job of applying the theorems."
