"The student has a quiz today.
We went over almost the entire study guide and solved multiple problems involving factorization to solve equations, graphing functions with asymptotic evolution and limits.
He acquired an amazing skill in recognizing the factors of a 2nd order polynomial and factoring it out just by looking at the 1st and 0th order term coefficients. I feel strongly that he will have no problems in his exams and final if he continues on the path he's on in terms of work ethics.
He's an amazing student."

"Topics covered: Solving Inconsistent Systems, Solving Dependent Systems, Solving Systems with Two Equations.
The student understood the concepts. After corrections, he calculated the correct answers."

"The student and I covered topics in curve sketching. This includes the first and second derivative tests and finding asymptotes. He has a good understanding of the curve sketching material. Working through problems did however show that he would benefit for a little review of limits. So I gave him some extra limit problems. I also gave him the optional assignment of rereading the section on limits and taking notes as he reads. He understands the actual calculus pretty well. He has a quiz, and when he gets that back, we will discuss his grades as well."
"Student received new homework packet focused on subtraction and regrouping. Student seems to be improving, considering that it has been a while since subtraction was practiced. Student managed to remember everything by the end of the session. More practice is needed before proficiency is achieved."
"We covered different strategies for solving polynomial factorization using long division, informed graphing techniques, synthetic division, quadratic formula. The student did not have any struggles with the material and seems comfortable working with it. He had plenty of extra exercises left over when we ended."
"We reviewed several of the sections to be included in an upcoming exam. Ranging from exponential log functions to slope fields and differential equations. The student appears to understand the concepts and how to solve the homework problems pretty well. We scheduled an extra session tomorrow to prepare for the exam, which will happen on Friday."
"The student and I continued preparing for his end of semester exam. Today we completed his study guide that his teacher provided. For some extra practice, I created some practice problems for his exam and we started working on those as well. The first half is more agility and confidence problems; testing his speed and accuracy. He did really well on them! On Friday, we will be going through word problems and making sure we know how to set them up!"
"Final Exam Review
We covered rational functions, specifically the rules governing the presence of vertical, horizontal, and slant asymptotes. The student and I discussed what they are and where they come from."

"The student showed good improvement on his subtraction skills, but was a little all over the place in this session. He shows good signs of confidence in his work."
"I spent the session with the student going over her review packets for her upcoming final. We reviewed how to use trigonometric functions to solve right triangles and some basic simplifying of polynomial functions. She had a better understanding of everything at the end of the session."
"Today the student and I went over some review problems for his test on Monday. We discussed slope fields (what they show and how to sketch one using a table. Then, we reviewed sketching a solution through a particular point by drawing parallel to the slopes at each point. We used Euler's formula to sketch a few points of the same differential function. We also practiced solving differential equations by separating variables (bacterial growth and Newton's law of cooling). Once we had a general solution, we used points to solve for constants in the equation to get an answer for a particular value. Since the student has a test tomorrow, he will continue practicing similar problems on his review packet as well as reviewing past chapters."
"The student and I covered more problem solving techniques in surface integrals of vector fields and change of variables, least squares data approximation, and multipliers method in solving constrained extrema. This was the last tutoring session for the subject for this semester."
