"Worked on material balances and equilibrium equations for an adsorption column and how to determine the number of stages in the column. Discussed both linear and non-linear systems. Talked about some of MATLAB's built in functions. The results were compiled in a word document to be used as a test review."
"During this session we covered rivers: gradient, divide, water shed, river systems, v-shaped valleys, stream discharge, velocity, river channel, river banks, snow line. We also covered glaciers: V-shaped valleys, how sediment is moved and broken down from glaciers. Additionally, we covered atmosphere: convection, conduction, radiation and weather in layers. Basically we went though and organized and enhanced notes from class to give the student a better resource for notes. We also reviewed and discussed the material as we went through it. Great session. She is doing great!"
"We spent most of the session talking conceptually about wave interference, standing waves and the Doppler effect. We spent a lot of time determining the fundamental frequency and harmonics of open and closed pipes, and strings. We went through all of her new notes to clarify a few things and did sample problems from the textbook. She is doing well with the concepts, and got a 93 on her most recent quiz."
