Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered a lot today in our session today. The student did 15 true and false or multiple choice questions on items on concepts including retained earnings, accrual basis accounting, FASB, AICPA, GAAP and IFRS. The student did journal entries for cash, notes payable, stock, revenue, unearned revenue, accounts receivable, accounts payable and more. We discussed social equity of a company and what it would consist of. We determined out of a group of accounts which would make up selling expenses. I am concerned the student does not on the worksheets she has given me in between sessions. I am encouraging her to do the worksheets in between sessions. The student did great on the questions and the journal entries. The student has a good attitude."
"We met Sunday morning at the library. We reviewed chapters on Liability and Equity, the vocabulary and the concepts of provisional, contingent liabilities like legal cases, warranty, etc. The student has his last of weekly tests on these subjects this week. Next sessions will be to review his chapter 1-3 in preparing for his final Exam."
"The student and I worked on his case study that covered financial ratios and comparative analysis. We went ratio by ratio calculating each and we discussed the real world implications of each ratio. By the end of the session, he had a better understanding of what financial ratios are and how to use them to make financial decisions."
