Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student has improved in writing and organization greatly. We discussed our new plan of action and we worked on decimals. This included being able to label and identify them using counting squares. Then, we worked on compound sentences (labeling, identifying and producing them). We also practiced some word problems consisting of addition, subtraction, division and multiplication. I gave him some extra math and grammar work to complete for next week."
"The student completed his math homework today. He had to write multiplication of 10's 20 times. We had some time left over after completing his session, so I had him read passages and learn new words. We practiced reading certain passages over and over again. I focused on sounding out words and discussing meaning and usage of certain words."
"The student had recently had an assessment where her only area of help needed was perimeter and area. We used IXL to practice that information. She seemed to catch on really well and did great with her work."
"The student worked on his language arts homework (vocabulary) and talked about organizing his work by writing down assignments every day. We also did a brief place value review using dice for the numbers (i.e. make the number with the greatest value using the numbers you roll on the dice)."
"We went over how well the student had improved her writing in her rewrite and did two more pages in her fourth grade book."
"The student has shown incredible improvement. He knew almost all of his letters and was spelling 4 letter and 5 letter words this session. When he practices, he really does learn quickly."
