"We just looked at the English section and after we discussed the rules he practiced on some English sections."
"We reviewed the English and math sections of her diagnostic. I expect drastic improvement in her scores as she was able to quickly and correctly answer many of the questions she originally missed."
"We went over the questions that I had asked the student to do the session previous. Of the 30 math problems, she had done 10 with no issues, and another 10 either had mistakes or just weren't taken far enough. The last 10 she did not have answers for or were wrong. This was partly because it was content she had not covered yet in her courses, or were tricky problems that required a second or third look at. I was very impressed with her use of the Pythagorean theorem and simplifying skills. She did some great problem solving and with more practice and learning, she'll be doing great on the whole test. On the English test, she probably had about half of the attempted problems right. Of the half that were wrong, she picked the second best answer. Reading was another difficult test, there were only two passages to read, one of which was very vague and the other was quite dry and technical. She did pretty well on the vague passage, either picking the best or second best answer. She did not do as well on the dry and technical passage but we went over the answers and she understood why she missed questions. Her science test was very good. We talked about tips to answer the questions quickly, but correctly, on the test. For her next session, I asked her to finish up the tests that she had started."
