"The student and I spent a lot of time reviewing the basics of Latin since it seems like she is confused about some foundational grammatical principles. We reviewed some important aspects of Latin nouns, verbs, and adjectives, focusing the most on nouns and adjectives (she seems like she has a good working understanding of verbs). She has not memorized her Latin noun endings, so we talked about ways to study them, and also discussed different patterns that she can use to remember them more easily. We ended the session with some short translations, which she did well with. I uploaded some good resources for her to use to our session, and I will also email them to her to make sure that she has a copy of everything."
"This session we split our time between discussing the use and translation of relative pronouns and studying for the student's upcoming vocabulary quiz. He had a bit of trouble initially with relative pronouns and clauses, since it is a new grammatical topic, but wasn't struggling. For extra practice, I asked him to finish translating the few sentences we were working on together."
"We reviewed the noun chart and then introduced some of the fundamental irregular verbs (volo and nolo) and practiced transforming sentences from the positive to the negative with desire. Finally we started the next piece of translation from the upcoming chapter."
