"We focused on make or buy decisions as well as exam prep. One of the main focuses of this was understanding how to separate relevant and irrelevant information."
"The student showed me a couple of questions that she missed on her test and we discussed the reasons for the correct answers. We also addressed homework problems and I showed her how to solve them or confirmed that she had solved them correctly. The problems involved stock acquisitions, treasury stock purchases and subsequent sales, debt to equity ratios, cumulative dividends paid to preferred stockholders. I stressed the importance of reading carefully and ensuring that she understands the examples, and of course I recommended that she show me the parts she does not understand very well so that I can help her with them."
"We went over about 40% of the student's practice final exam. The final exam is cumulative and covered a wide range of topics including but not limited to break even analysis, mark-up cost and calculations, contribution margin net income calculation and analysis and relevant cost. We went question by question and discussed both the concept and the application. Generally speaking, the student understand the concepts well. We will continue working on this during future sessions."
