"The student and I covered Momentum Impulse and Energy from her class. We worked through most of her homework problems, until once again she was taking care of them on her own."
"Today, we continued the discussion that we started on Tuesday about solubility of ions and their product. In addition, we included the concept of complex ion formation. We discussed how to calculate solubility from solubility product and use solubility in determining which ion precipitates first. We talked about how to calculate the maximum amount ion that can be precipitated selectively when there are mixture of ions in solution. We discussed how the equilibrium and solubility of a solid precipitates changes upon addition of reactive compounds ( acids, bases, and ligands). Finally, we discussed how to use solubility product and formation ion constant to calculate the solubility of a solid precipitate. We discussed all the above concepts while solving practical problems. The student is doing very good in understanding the above mentioned concepts."
"The student and I went over his Quiz 3_4. We worked on determining the translational and rotational velocities and accelerations at different points in a rotating system or in a series of links. He had a very strong understanding of the material and had good approaches to the problem. We mainly focused on the 3rd and 4th problems. His challenges were do to the wording of the problems, and understanding how different points were affected in a system. I showed him several different ways to solve, approach, and think about the problems. At the end of the session he appeared to be more confident in his approach and understanding."
