"The student worked through the rest of her LSAT prep book. We worked through a few games she wanted to go over, and I addressed her questions. For the next week, we plan on switching gears to the other LSAT sections. I am sending her some practice test sections to use as an initial diagnostic to see what we need to do with these sections."
"We discussed the two exams the student took this week, scoring a 155 and 156. It's good to see him stabilizing his scores -- although with a typical score drop of 3-5 points on exam day, we should strive to bring that up to the 160s. He is still struggling to complete all the games in each section. So we discussed strategies better sketch-drawing and game type-identification. As homework I encouraged him to identify the type and draw the sketch for 16 games I recently sent over email. We also discussed logical reasoning, specifically how to identify whether one strengthener/ weakener/ assumption is a stronger choice than another. I provided him with the strategy of considering which answer is actually rested upon by the argument's conclusion; also which is most relevant -- he continues to pick answers that may be factually true, but are not the most relevant. Gaining these points should bring him up into the 160s."
"Today the student and I worked on planning out his study schedule and logical reasoning. He has shown tremendous strides in logical reasoning in the few sessions we have had. He is clearly practicing on his own and may end up blowing this test out of the water. He will do another test before his next session on Sunday."
