Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today's session went well - we spent a lot of time talking about the nuances of the election of 1912. There was great depth within that topic of how the three-way presidential race occurred and the ramifications of its results. We then discussed the impact of Wilson winning the election and his policies of his Triple Wall of Privilege. We finished our discussion with the analysis of the US relationship with Mexico on the eve of World War I. In addition to content, we discussed her last exam. The student was very attentive and asked questions, and confirmed understanding of concepts. Our next session is scheduled for Wednesday."
"The student emailed 3 pages of her 6 paged essay. We discussed the structure and what more she needed to do. The student still needs to go the library to obtain primary sources and read more books about the time period she is writing about. We will meet on Sunday evening to continue work on the research paper."
"We covered the topic of statehood in Arizona and the Fred Harvey store chain. We discussed the key commodity of copper in the context of the greater American experience of industrialization. We had a good time preparing and discussing sources and setting up the bibliography. Many of the sources were difficult to format correctly into easy to use text documents for the braille note. The student later wrote up the notes and the paper."
