Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I went over her current homework assignment; she is working in the univariate analysis section of her course. We talked about measures of central tendency, including mean, median, mode, and standard deviation, among others. She had created histograms for all of the variables in the data set, so we discussed whether or not they were normally-distributed (and how we can determine/confirm this by looking at both the histograms and the statistics she computed). She seems to have an excellent grasp on these concepts thus far and is very enthusiastic about learning statistics! We will meet again on Saturday to discuss her progress on this homework assignment."
"We reviewed for the student's 9 weeks exam, with lots of problems from the momentum test review, as well as some gravitational and orbital motion problems. Went through some PowerPoint clicker-style problems for rotational motion to review key concepts."
"We continued working on some rotational dynamics problems--some tough ones--in preparation for a test scheduled for tomorrow. Student's attitude and aptitude continue to be excellent. Student has plenty of practice problems with which to continue practicing."
