Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Topics: Arithmetic and geometric sequences, summation of sequences, identifying specific numbers in a sequence, difference/ratio Progress: The student needed some help with a couple sections of the homework assignment. He was in good spirits, well-focused, and the atmosphere was very positive as always."
"We met for two hours this morning to go over more algebra II topics. He did fine on the homework but I gave him a few more similar problems for next time. Today we also talked about factoring and how to factor higher order polynomials. He has that down just fine since it seems like he's done that before. We talked about i as well and how it works. We finished up by talking about systems of three equations. He seems to get the idea but I left him a problem to work for next time."
"Today in our session, we used the words "run" and "spin in circles" and I tried teaching him "open door" and "close door," but I'll have to repeat it. We also played with the stereo a little bit. I tried teaching him colors, numbers, and greetings through songs and using displays on his toys."
"Continued preparation for upcoming test. Reviewed hybridization, heat of formation, bond order, and molecular geometry. Worked through practice test. Good session! The student still needs to spend sometime memorizing trends and vocabulary, but he has a good understanding of the concepts."
"We continued where we left off last time and finished Chapter two on sine and cosine graphs. Then we moved on to Chapter three which involved domain and range for sine and cosine functions."
